What to post every week: a simple plan for small businesses

4 min read · Updated 27 October 2026

The hardest part of social media is deciding what to post. This simple weekly rhythm works for most small businesses and takes the guesswork out.

How often to post

Three to five posts a week on Instagram is plenty for most businesses. Facebook can be two or three. LinkedIn once or twice a week if you sell to companies. Posting regularly matters more than posting a lot.

A week that works

  • Monday: what you sell, with a clear price or offer
  • Tuesday: a tip your customers will save
  • Wednesday: behind the scenes, your team or your process
  • Thursday: a question or poll
  • Friday: your weekend deal or timings
  • Saturday: a customer favourite or review (with permission)
  • Sunday: something warm and simple, or rest

Different posts for different platforms

Don't copy the same post everywhere. Instagram likes short captions and strong pictures, Facebook likes clear details and Urdu often does well there, and LinkedIn wants a professional angle like catering, hiring or partnerships.

Write in your customers' language

If your customers text you in Roman Urdu, write your Instagram in Roman Urdu. If your Facebook followers are older, Urdu may reach them better. English suits LinkedIn and premium brands.

Or let Postwala do it

Postwala plans this week for you, for each platform and in each language, and writes every post with a picture. You approve and post.
